Professor Hans-Joachim Hof, head of the research group INSicherheit, was re-elected by an overwhelming majority as chairman of the German Chapter of the ACM. In a first reaction, Hof was very pleased with the increased participation in the ballot, which from his point of view also reflects the increasing activity of the chapter members. For the coming term of two years, Professor Hof called the celebrations of 50 years German Chapter of the ACM as well as a revision of the homepage as great tasks, which he will deal with great pleasure.
The German Chapter of the ACM is the oldest German computer society. As part of the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), the German chapter is member in a network of more than 100,000 computer scientists worldwide. Professor Hof has been leading the chapter since 2015, from 2013-2015 he was the Vice Chairman.
